Conservation Conversation

Wild & Scenic Film Festival

  • TCF has hosted the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on tour in Red Bluff annually since 2014, in recognition that private landowners serve as the best stewards of natural resources and that both wild and working lands need to uphold their conservation value. TCF hopes that the audience will be inspired by the stunning cinematography, compelling stories, and different perspectives presented through film to reconsider their own beliefs and behavior as well as to plan how to meet current and future challenges. Bees and Other Pollinators

  • In July, TCF joined Expect More Tehama in teaching area youth the buzz about native and honey bees, as well as other pollinators. Each participant built a bee barn nest to take home.

Monarchs

  • TCF presented a two-part Milkweed/Monarch/Migration lesson to the Antelope SERFF program on June 30 and July 6, 2017. The students participated in interactive Powerpoint presentations, artwork, and games and planted nearly 20 milkweed plugs in their school garden.
