CDFA SWEEP - State Water Efficiency & Enhancement Program
The State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) provides financial assistance to farmers in the form of grants to implement irrigation systems that reduce greenhouse gases and save water on California agricultural operations. It is a first-come-first serve grant funding opportunity. Do not delay!
Eligible system components include (among others):
- soil moisture monitoring
- drip systems
- switching to low-pressure irrigation systems
- pump retrofits
- variable frequency drives, and
- installation of renewable energy to reduce on-farm water use and energy.
SWEEP Program is accepting applications now! A FREE application assistance workshop will be held Wednesday November 10, 2021 from 9am-12noon at the Tehama County Agricultural Commission office at 1834 Walnut St., Red Bluff, CA.
