Lori Macdonald is a seasoned Wetland Scientist and Biologist with 30 years of experience working in the engineering and construction industries. At the RCD, she serves as a Wildlife Habitat Project Manager for fish passage improvement and riparian restoration projects. Project goals include reconnecting historic side channels along the Sacramento River in order to restore juvenile salmonid rearing habitat and designing and constructing dam, culvert, and fish ladder improvements that allow spawning salmonids access to the upper reaches of the watersheds. Lori has a Masters in Environmental Science from UMass Boston, obtained her Professional Wetland Scientist Certification in 2010 and was certified as a Wildlife Biologist in 2017. During her spare time you can find her tending to her garden or dispersal camping in the mountains.
