Wildfire County Coordinator Program

The Wildfire County Coordinator Program supports local wildfire readiness groups and offers the following Techanical Assistance services:

  • Home Hardening - Increase a building and structure's resistance to better withstand wildfire.
  • Disaster Readiness - Prepare for Emergencies (Extreme Heat, Wildfires, Wildfire Smoke, Power Outage, Fast&Cold Water, Floods, Earthquakes, and Severe Storms).
    • Doing small things today can make sure you, your family, friends, neighbors and loved ones are safe and cared for when disaster strikes.

  • Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)  development via the CAL FIRE Toolkit

The Coordinator also attends local group meeting to exchange information, develops partnerships, tracks/monitors collaborative efforts, attends California Fires Safe Council networking workshop and conducts public engagement during local 2026 events including:

  • July 8th and August 19th - Red Bluff/Tehama County Chamber Certified Farmer's Markets 
  • July 14th and August 11th - Disaster Readiness BINGO
