Wildfire County Coordinator Program

The Wildfire County Coordinator Program supports local wildfire readiness groups and offers the following Techanical Assistance services for a fire-adapted Tehama County:

  • Home Hardening - Increase a building and structure's resistance to better withstand wildfire.
  • Disaster Readiness - Prepare for Emergencies (Extreme Heat, Wildfires, Wildfire Smoke, Power Outage, Fast&Cold Water, Floods, Earthquakes, and Severe Storms).

  • Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)  development via the CAL FIRE Toolkit

The Coordinator also attends local group meetings to exchange information, develops partnerships, tracks collaborative efforts, participates at the California Fire Safe Council networking workshop, and conducts public engagement during local 2026 events including:

  • 2026 Red Bluff/Tehama County Chamber Certified Farmer's Markets - July 8th and August 19th
  • Disaster Readiness BINGO - July 14th and August 18th at the RB Community Center and August 20th (Villa Columba)
