Mobile Irrigation Lab

The Mobile Irrigation Lab (MIL) is a free service that provides on-site evaluations of agricultural irrigation systems. The primary function of the MIL is to provide comprehensive reports to producers that detail how their irrigation system is performing, including tips, suggestions, and recommendations based on data collected during the inspection.

NEWS: The MIL is prepped and ready for the 2025 irrigation season! Grants from CDFA and DWR have the program fully funded through 2027 which enabled the RCD to retain Todd Bullock and Melissa Stroing, 2 experienced field technicians from 2024 and Kevin Greer who has been managing the program since 2009.

NEW FOR 2025: The MIL is offering free pump tests to 10 growers. The only requirement is that an irrigation evaluation must be completed in the same time frame as the pump test. This is a first come first served opportunity so be sure to contact Kevin Greer ASAP!

Sign up for the 2025 evaluation season by contacting Kevin Greer at kgreer@tehamacountyrcd.org or by calling (530) 727-1297
